Event Overview
Following the success of the recent International Chambers of Commerce World Cup Football Tournament FDA is offering you another chance to experience  football glory as part of a team in the 2012 FDA Corporate Champions League tournament! Join us on Friday 24th August 2012 at Macquarie University, Sydney, from 2pm-7pm.

32 corporate teams representing 32 European Club football sides will play to lift the official UEFA Champions League Replica Trophy. Teams will be divided into groups of four for the opening round robin phase of the tournament where each team plays each other once. Just like in the UEFA Champions League the top two teams in each group will progress to the knock out round of 16 of the tournament with the teams finishing 3rd and 4th in groups going into the knock out phase of the FDA Corporate Europa League.

Who can enter a team?
You can form a squad with your company colleagues and team mates, partners and clients. Male and female players are welcome.
A maximum of 32 teams can participate. Teams are not permitted to recruit players currently playing professionally. Participants at past FDA events include: Macquarie Bank, KPMG, Cisco, Oracle, Randstad, VMware, Electrolux, Westfield, Konica Minolta, Ricoh, Ernst & Young, Nissan, Toyota Australia, BMW, Volkswagen Group Australia and many other global brands and ASX100 companies.

Teams play in a 5-a-side format and are allowed to register 8 players per squad. FDA can "reserve" a club team allocation for your team while you are gathering players for 5 working days, if you are unable to confirm, the allocation goes to the next team on the waiting list. To reserve a club team for the tournament allocation please email us. Players looking for a team and teams looking for extra players are encouraged to visit the event Facebook group.

Teams will play in a 5-a-side format and are allowed to register 8 players per squad. Each team will play a minimum of 3 games in the group stage of the FDA Corporate Champions League and one knock out round in the Champions League or Europa League format.The knock out stages are single game play-offs. Games go straight to a penalty shootout if the scores are even at the final whistle. Detailed Rules and Regulations information will be circulated to all teams ahead of the tournament.

Team Registration & Fees
All teams must register online. Registration per squad of 8 players is $1320. The fees include:

- Tournament Event Management (each team plays a minimum of 4 games)
- Hydration (Gatorade and water)
- Accredited referees, equipment, venue, floodlights, portable goals, balls and more.
- a beer per player at post event networking function at the venue

FDA can also supply stunning Adidas jerseys with a colour print of your company logo for an additional fee of $660 per 8 player team. (Includes colour company logo branding, delivery and GST.)


Corporate Champions League Updates
All participants will receive regular updates via a dedicated tournament Facebook group, Twitter and email. We hope that these updates will help create some healthy rivalry amongst the teams and players in the lead up to the event. Members of the FDA team will visit team captains in the lead up to the tournament with the replica UEFA Champions League trophy to conduct interviews that will be shared at the FDA corporate football events Facebook Group.
