FDA’s football programs are based on the format used in European based junior academy environments and the coaching team draws on references from Italy, France and Spain for its program content.
The Academy program is predominantly a technical program that will allow the players to constantly practice their skills through repetition of numerous juggling, dribbling, passing, shooting, ball control and small sided possession drills.
This technical program also integrates the physical development of a young footballer’s co-ordination, rhythm, balance, agility and speed.
From 10 years old onwards offensive and defensive tactical disciplines are practiced regularly to familiarize the young FDA Academy players with their individual and team based positional responsibilities.
Discipline, respect for players, coaches and staff and leading by example are fundamental elements of the FDA code of conduct.
