Teams participating in this event in the past 2 years include: Macquarie Bank, KPMG, SAP, Westfield, Laing O'Rourke, Cisco, Oracle, Randstad, Dimension Data, BMW, Nissan, Volkswagen, Toyota, Hyundai, Sony, Qantas, Roche, Leaseplan and many others. Latest news: Hilti Australia were crowned champions at the Sydney event after defeating Westfield in a tough final. In Melbourne, team HOSTPLUS deserved the FIFA World cup replica after beating Toyota in the final. Another winner on the day was Medecins sans Frontieres - the event participants and organizers raised $9600 for the charity. Charter Hall were the most successful fundraising team and will be presented by FDA with a free entry into the 2013 tournament worth $2550.

Event Overview
Football Development Australia in cooperation with the above chambers is giving 32 corporate teams in Sydney and further 32 in Melbourne the opportunity to represent their company and a country of their choice in the 2012 International chambers of commerce world cup soccer tournament. The event, scheduled to run in May 2012 in Melbourne and in April 2012 in Sydney provides a truly unique business networking opportunity for chambers, members and corporate teams. The winners will take away an exact replica of the World Cup trophy following the tournament final.

Who can enter a team?
International Chambers, their members and other corporate teams. There are no restrictions to how teams are formed, male and female players are welcome. A maximum of 32 teams can be entered for each of the Sydney and Melbourne events. Countries will be allocated on a "first in-best dressed" basis. FDA can "reserve" a country allocation for your team while you are gathering players and awaiting for internal funds approvals. To reserve a country allocation please email us. Please note that teams are not permitted to recruit players currently playing professionally.

Format
Teams play in a 7-a-side format and are allowed to register 10 players per squad. Each Country will play multiple pool games in the first round of the World Cup. The top teams in each pool will progress to the second round knockout phase and from there the winners will make their way into the quarter finals, semi final and the final.

Team Registration & Fees
All teams must register online.
Registration fee per squad of 10 players is $1800 plus GST.
OR $2200 plus GST which includes 10 full Adidas playing strips (jersey, shorts and socks) in national colours (RRP value of $900).
The fee includes:
- Light lunch for all 10 players
- Hydration - Gatorade and water
- Professional Referees
- All equipment, balls, line marking, bibs, etc.
- 10 beers per team following the action on the field
- Tournament Event Management
Fundraising:
Score goals for World Cup glory and raise money for charity! FDA will donate $50 per each team participating and create a fundraising page for each team. Corporate teams are encouraged to continue their fundraising effort by sharing the link with their colleagues. The most successful fundraising team will be given a free entry to the 2013 International Chamber of commerce world cup, valued at $2552 (incl. GST). Congratulations to CA Technologies, who were the most successful fundraisers last year and earned a free entry into the 2012 World cup.
