FDA Junior Development Programs

Football Development Australia’s Junior Development Programs are open to boys and girls aged 7 – 14 years old who love playing football (soccer). The programs run all year round at Parramatta & North Rocks and are designed to give all of the players who attend the opportunity to improve the basic skills required to play football at a young age.

It is not too late to join us! To get a feel for FDA training, all new players are welcome to join us for a complimentary introductory session. Spaces are limited, to secure your space please fill out the form below or call FDA on 02-9024 5122 today.

What our clients say: "As one of the new faces I would like to say thanks for all of your and your fellow trainers efforts thus far. Not only has Alex improved so much in only a short period but his enthusiasm and enjoyment of the game has increased as well. It is one thing to teach the game to kids but to keep them having fun and letting them enjoy the game is another and you and your team do that well, congratulations." Shaun S. father of Alex

FDA’s football programs are based on the format used in European based junior academy environments and the FDA coaching team draws on references from Italy, France and Spain for its program content. The Winter semester is starting on Tuesday, 20th July 2010, players have a choice of attending 2 or 3 times a week (TUE, THU & SUN).

Training venues:
Hazel Ryan Oval, Whitbread Pl, North Parramatta (Tues and Thurs); and
The King’s School, North Parramatta (Sun).

Squad training times:
U7- U10 – Tues & Thurs – 5.30pm-6.30pm; Sun-9am-10am.
U11-U14 – Tues & Thurs – 6.30pm-7.30pm; Sun-10am-11am.

Players practice juggling, control, passing and shooting under the guidance of FDA’s team of professional coaches and will also practice collectively in small sided games. In addition FDA integrates our mobility and co-ordination curriculum into the program to facilitate young players balance and speed of movement when playing sport.

Each semester of the Junior Development Programs players will form teams and play in an internal championship based on a 5 a side playing format. Teams select their favourite player and team name for the championship and enjoy playing together in an environment where the emphasis will be on having fun and trying to pass the ball around and playing football in the right way.
